Parliament of Education

About

🔵 2020 was a year full of unpredictable changes, which brought along great challenges for all of us. The education sector is among the most affected sectors of our society. More than 900,000 students did not have access to the Internet and, implicitly, to education since March 2020, and this has deepened, in most cases, the existing cleavages in the education system.

🔵 The two rounds of elections in 2020, the local elections and the general elections, challenged the parties to find feasible solutions for education, which would have a real and rapid impact on students in Romania. With the appointment of the new Parliament, we can now foresee a new stage for education.

🔵 The “Parliament of Education” is developed by the National Council of Students, with the support of UNICEF in Romania. This material initiated by students in Romania is meant to present the main problems in the education system at the moment (February 2021) and to propose feasible solutions for it.
