About
The Three Star Approach for WASH in Schools Field Guide is designed to improve the effectiveness of
water, sanitation and hygiene standards and behaviour change programmes for children and complements UNICEF’s broader
child-friendly schools initiative and GIZ’s ‘Fit for School’ approach, which promote safe,
healthy and protective learning environments. The guide has been adopted by many countries globally and translated in many local languages for local actions that provide scalable solutions to ensure WASH for all children with equity and inclusion.
