The Amsterdam Healthy Weight Approach: Investing in healthy urban childhoods: A case study on healthy diets for children

About

The Amsterdam Healthy Weight Approach demonstrates that a broad systems strategy delivered at the city level is a promising approach to promote and secure nutrition and health for all children in urban settings. The approach demonstrates how city level action can contribute to respecting, fulfilling and promoting children’s rights as enshrined in the Convention on the Right of Children, while contributing to the achievement of the broader 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular, Sustainable Development Goals 2 (zero hunger), 3 (good health and well-being) and 11 (sustainable cities and communities).
