Highlights

Background: Viet Nam is the 13th most affected country by natural disasters and climate change. • Children account for one-third of the population in Viet Nam and are highly vulnerable to intensifying natural disasters and the impacts of climate change. • 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) taking place in Egypt from 6-18 November 2022 is an opportunity for Vietnamese children’s and young people’s voices to be heard at the most important forum on climate change.

Objectives: Listening to the voices of children and young people in Viet Nam on climate change and climate action and making their voices heard. This will contribute to raising awareness on climate change and the environment and call for actions for individual change and social mobilization that lead to meaningful changes both at policy and community levels.
