Highlights

UNICEF stands for every child, everywhere. We stand for children’s rights, we stand for change and innovation, and we stand for integrity and transparency. We work around the world, including in the toughest places, in the most frightening of disasters, reaching to and supporting the most disadvantaged children and families.

Established in 1946, UNICEF has built an unprecedented global support system for the world’s children. We work closely with governments, with development partners, with NGOs, with the private sector, and, importantly, with children and young people themselves to bring best practice, pilot approaches that improve children’s lives, reduce disparities and enhance communities, support change in legislation and policy and achieve impactful results at scale.

As one of the largest United Nations agencies, we have – and stand accountable for – an ambitious agenda. Because of our global footprint, our supply capacity and our convening power, we have expertise supporting decision-makers and grassroots-level partners to turn the most innovative ideas into reality. We forecast the challenges ahead and pioneer new approaches. And we deliver tangible results for children.

We respond rapidly and effectively to immediate needs, while at the same time addressing vulnerabilities and building resilience, recognizing a child’s key developmental stages and its interconnectedness from conception and early childhood to adolescence.

Every child has the right to survive and thrive, the right to learn and the right to an equitable chance in life, to embrace every opportunity before them. That is at the core of UNICEF’s vision. And that is why we never give up.

Active in Viet Nam for more than 46 years, UNICEF is a trusted, reliable and strategic development and humanitarian partner.
