This case study focuses on UNICEF’s work supporting the development of systems that use open-source technology solutions, including the Cboard and technical resources to provide affordable AAC tools to children in need and strengthen national capacities for early intervention in order to address the challenges of affordability, workforce capacity and generating evidence of impact. The case study includes the examples of the development of AAC systems and Cboard project in Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
