Key Asks 2023 Voluntary National Reviews: SDG 12
Responsible Consumption & Production Issue Brief
About
Unsustainable and unsafe consumption and production patterns lead to toxic waste and limited resources, which disproportionately harm children’s health and development. Evidence shows that widespread behavioural change often begins when children become aware of the problems they observe in their own communities. Recycling and reducing the use of plastics has gained support due to the efforts and involvement of children around the world. Children and youth should be protected from harmful pollutants and engaged in social change.
