Our fundraising activities
Face-to Face fundraising activities
Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising is one of UNICEF’s most important and most effective ways of recruiting supporters for our work for children in Malaysia and across the world. F2F fundraising for UNICEF usually takes place in high pedestrian traffic areas, such as at shopping malls, office buildings, stations, airports and during exhibitions and events in and around Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor and other cities in Malaysia.
As the name implies, it is a person-to-person recruitment method that involves asking individuals to become supporters of UNICEF’s work for children through regular monthly donations via a secure credit card system. This fundraising approach is used by charities and development organizations around the world.
You can refer to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about F2F fundraising programme.
Tele-fundraising activities
Tele-fundraising is a resource mobilization method being used by UNICEF offices around the world. It is a convenient way for donors to contribute to the work of UNICEF, and it also provides UNICEF with an opportunity to have direct conversations with our donors. When you receive a phone call from a UNICEF fundraiser, you can make a donation by telling the fundraiser the amount you want to donate and by providing your credit card number and expiry date.
All telephone conversations between our fundraisers and donors are recorded so that we can ensure we are providing our donors with the best quality service and all of these conversations are kept strictly confidential. Every fundraiser making calls on behalf of UNICEF has an ID number, and you can contact the UNICEF office to verify a fundraiser’s information, including their full name and ID number.
You can refer to our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about tele fundraising programme here.
