2022 Country Assessment of the Youth Ecosystem

Highlights

This Country Assessment of Youth Ecosystem (finalized in August 2022) focuses on four priority areas that need attention and support for young people in Ghana i.e. Education and Training (including TVET), Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Equity and Engagement. For each of these priority areas, the assessment includes an analysis of the existing partnerships and initiatives, key progress and gaps, and opportunities to strengthen and scale activities.

This assessment is part of a larger effort driven by UNICEF in Ghana and Generation Unlimited to advance youth programming, investments, and partnerships in Ghana. Generation Unlimited (GenU) brings together world leaders and organizations to support young people as they transition from education and training to professional careers. With an estimated 2 billion young men and women seeking opportunities for a brighter future by 2030, GenU aims to transform education, employment, entrepreneurship and engagement initiatives for young people worldwide.
